The thought of having a smelly South Carolina animal inside the home is quite stressful. If a skunk sprays their scent inside your home it can take quite a lot of hard work and cost to get rid of the smell. When dealing with problem skunks it is important to stay away from them to avoid getting sprayed. If skunks see you as a threat they will spray from a distance that can travel several meters. You can place the trap in the room that the skunk is in with food as the bait. Once the skunk has been caught and the trap door shuts behind it then the animal is secured. You need to look for items with ingredients like hydrogen peroxide, bicarb soda and citrus scents.

If you try a few things and these all seem to fail the last option is to call the experts in who can advise the best option. Sometimes depending where the spray is it may mean replacing the items such as floor boards and carpets where the smell just sinks in and won’t go away.
